About Me.
I love to travel. I rarely get to travel though. And
that’s why I research and learn about the places I want to go. As a kid, while
other kids, past bed time, begged their parents to let them watch their
favorite cartoon movie on T.V.. I, oddly, would beg to stay up and watch nature
programs, PBS, and well sometimes a Disney movie. Even as a kid, I was
fascinated by the world I couldn’t actually see and visit, but still could
learn about. Later on, as a teen, I visited great national parks. All the Utah
five: Arches, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capital Reef, and Zion. And, then also,
Yosemite, Yellowstone, Redwoods, and my favorite Glacier national park. In
those visits I grew a passion for the natural world and people and new
experiences. If I wasn’t experiencing them, I wanted to learn about them.
Especially, the subject and experience of native aboriginal peoples. Later, I
became exposed, again through PBS, to the national parks and beauty of Canada
and the cornucopia of potential in experiences one could partake in there. And,
now, that’s my new obsession – to learn and to responsibly, eventually, go to
Alberta Canada and while doing so, help others to do the same.
